The team behind OpenIV has been talking with Rockstar Games in order to resolve all the issues surrounding its mod, and a new version of it has just been released. This new version of OpenIV appears to working fine in the single-player mode for Grand Theft Auto V, and can be obtain via its launcher.
A few hours ago, Rockstar Games issued a statement claiming that Take-Two will generally not take legal action against third-party projects involving Rockstar’s PC games that are single-player, non-commercial, and respect the intellectual property.
Our guess is that the OpenIV mod team has addressed the bugs via which this mod could be used to impact multiplayer or online services.
In order to install this new version of OpenIV, you’ll have to open OpenIV, select uninstall later, click GTA V PC, and you’ll be prompted for a new update.
This new version of OpenIV is 2.9.0!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
