Overgrowth is among the best indie games we’ve ever seen. The amount of work and attention to detail that is put into it is simply amazing. Each and every week, Wolfire Games release a new video tutorial for it and today, we bring you the changes that were made to its Alpha 145 version.
This week, David Rosen polished the characters’ wounds and blood effects. And it’s pretty astounding to witness such interesting features in an indie game. Oh, and we really need to remind you that Overgrowth features incredible and smooth animations. In addition, David included a placeholder menu after the fights with which you can go back to the game’s main menu and access a different level.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
