Blizzard has announced that Overwatch has just surpassed 25 million registered players. For what it’s worth, the game hit the 20 million player mark back in October 2016. In other words, 5 million players were attracted to this FPS game in the last four months.

Overwatch was released in May 2016 for PC and current-gen consoles. Blizzard did not reveal any additional information about the sales per platform.
Two days ago, Blizzard released a massive new patch for Overwatch. Patch 1.7 featured a number of balance tweaks, fixes that have been reported by the game’s community, introduced the Year of the Rooster seasonal event, and added a capture the flag mode.
