Hi-Rez Studios has announced that its free to play hero shooter, Paladins, will leave Steam Early Access on May 8th. Paladins currently has over 25 million players and Hi-Rez Studios aims to continue supporting it post launch.
As Paladins’ Executive Producer, Chris Larson, said:
“Even now, with Paladins a million times more polished than it was at the start of Early Access, we do not consider Paladins a truly “finished” product. We know there’s still work to be done. We are going to keep polishing, keep refining, keep fixing bugs, and keep putting out awesome new content on a regular patch cycle.”
Hi-Rez Studios also stated that it won’t implement any more major system changes. This basically means that the game will rely on free cards and cosmetics, and that won’t change in the future.
