Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order have raised the official PC system requirements of Cities Skylines 2. According to the teams, Cities Skylines II is a next-generation title and therefore has certain hardware requirements.
Colossal Order claimed that the previous PC requirements were set when the game was still in development. However, after having done extensive testing with different hardware, the developers made the decision to update the minimum/recommended specs for a better player experience.
According to the final PC specs, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD® Ryzen 5 2600X with 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or an AMD equivalent.
The team recommends using an Intel Core i5-12600K or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 or an AMD equivalent.
Unfortunately, Colossal Order has not shared the graphics settings, and framerate that these final PC requirements target. However, we do know that these PC specs are for full-HD (or in other words, 1080p).
Paradox Interactive will release Cities Skylines 2 on October 24th!
