Modder Nebula has just released a new version of his Texture Pack Overhaul for Bethesda’s RPG and we have to say that we are really impressed with it. Contrary to other texture packs that increase the normal/bump mapping and add some noise or sharpening effects, Nebula used new, custom textures. Naturally, some might find these textures better while others might feel that they are too different for their taste. You can find bellow more details about this Texture Pack, as well as some screenshots for it.
Skyrim HD – 2K Textures is a WIP (Work in Progress) pack that replaces the old Low-Resolution textures with High-Resolution ones, which are 4x – 8x higher than the original ones. These new textures are completely made from scratch and not just upsampled and sharpened. Currently the pack includes new textures for Whiterun, Windhelm, Mountains, Cliffs, Parts of Nature, Tundra Rocks, Cave Ground and Parts of global Interior. In addition, the modder will be focusing now on Ground Textures, so we can expect a huge update in the coming weeks.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
