Arkane Studios has just announced that the console version of Redfall will be locked at 30fps at launch. As such, the only platform that will support 60fps at launch will be the PC.
Redfall promises to blend single- and multiplayer options seamlessly. Additionally, it will allow the player to venture into the darkness alone or to squad-up with up to three friends. Teammates will also be able to try different hero loadouts. Moreover, they can combine their strengths to overcome the vampire legion and their brood of maniacal followers.
Bethesda will release Redfall on May 2nd. The game will be also using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. Furthermore, Redfall will support NVIDIA’s DLSS 3 tech at launch. The team also plans to add some Ray Tracing effects via a post-launch update.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
