inXile’s Torment FB page has confirmed that Mark Morgan will compose the soundtrack for the new Torment game, that will be called Torment: Tides of Numenera. Torment: Tides of Numenera will be a character-driven RPG set in Monte Cook’s Numenera, that will continue the thematic legacy of Planescape: Torment and will ask gamers a simple question; what does one life matter?
inXile Entertainment plans to use the Numenera system as a starting place, but will focus on making the best combat system for the game. The rules themselves have some flexibility and Monte is also on board with their adapting them into a cRPG form.
Our guess is that a Kickstarter campaign will be launch sometime in 2013, so we’ll be sure to keep you posted about it. No platforms have been announced as of yet, but we expect to see it on the PC (as well as on home consoles, provided the Kickstarter campaign is successful).
Torment: Tides of Numenera is still in its early stages of development, so unfortunately there is nothing more to share!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
