Ah, the memories. Back in the golden 3DFX days, Ubisoft released a futuristic racing game that left us drooling all over our monitors. POD was awesome, beautiful and original. It really showcased what our computers could achieve. And we are pleased to announce that Good Old Games added compatibility with modern operating systems and has it right now, for only 6 dollars.
The game’s size is only 160MB and is compatible with both Windows XP and Windows Vista/7. Although POD Gold featuredĀ a multiplayer mode, its multiplayer servers have been taken offline and the only multiplayer options available are LAN and local split-screen.
POD Gold also features 16 customizable cars that can be damaged and 32 tracks, each with a unique theme and setting.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
