Konami has just revealed – via the game’s official FB page – that the new engine that will be powering the next Pro Evolution Soccer game will be unveiled next week. According to the Japanese company, the next Edge magazine will have the first information about it and will be released on March 14th. This is really exciting news as PES had some serious issues in all of its current-generation versions.
We won’t go into more details about the issues present in PES 2013, but we seriously hope that Konami will be able to offer better controls, better collisions, better AI (especially for your defenders), better physics and a better gaming experience.
It is said that this next Pro Evolution Soccer game will be powered by the FOX Engine, so we are curious to see what Konami has been up to this whole time.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 has not been – officially – revealed as of yet, so here is hoping that Konami will reveal the first details about it alongside the tech information that will be coming next week.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”
