Valkyria Chronicles is considered one of the best strategy RPG games available on PS3. Yes yes, Sony’s old-gen console had this kind of games. Valkyria Chronicles combines strategy elements of tactical role-playing games with real-time action sequences, and PEGI has recently rated the game’s PC version.
As always, we strongly suggest taking this with a grain of salt, however – and contrary to yesterday’s Sunset Overdrive rumor – this seems legit. After all, this is PEGI we’re talking about.
Valkyria Chronicles is set in a fictitious continent reminiscent of 1930s Europe on the verge of a great war. The game follows Welkin, a heroic commander who leads his small platoon against a merciless invading army.
“As Welkin’s small country of Gallia is engulfed in battle, the emergence of the “Valkyria”, an ancient race with special powers thought to exist only in legends, turns the tide of the war. Faced with a new threat, Welkin and his troops gather their courage to fight for their freedom.”
Here is hoping that more SEGA titles – that were released exclusively on old-gen consoles – will hit the PC (Vanquish anyone?)
Enjoy and stay tuned for more. Kudos to our reader ‘GTR2910’ for informing us!
UPDATE:
SEGA has confirmed that Valkyria Chronicles is coming to the PC. More details will be revealed soon, so stay tuned!
