We know that a lot of you have been waiting for this indie game to hit Steam. Well, that time has come and indie game Q.U.B.E. is now available on Valve’s digital distribution service. Although the game was available through Desura, GamersGate & Playism this whole time, we know that some of you simply love Steam so there you have it. But wait, there is more. Q.U.B.E. comes with a 15% discount until Friday January 13th, which means that it will only cost you 9.24 euros. To be honest, it’s a steal at that price so waste no time and get it while you still can.
Q.U.B.E. (Quick Understanding of Block Extrusion) is a first-person puzzle game that challenges players to navigate each level by manipulating coloured cubes that surround them. There’s little to go on as the game begins – the player is dropped into an all-white room with few instructions, and simply has to figure their way out. The tone of game changes as the player finds small and big alterations to their environment, supported by an original score, inviting each player to let their imagination take over as to where they might be. Through experimentation and discovery, players will progress through an ever-evolving series of cube puzzles that will challenge them with logic, physics, platforming.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
