iD Software’s Todd Hollenshead has tweeted that a new set of AMD drivers are on the works and that might get released today or tomorrow. Moreover, Todd has tweeted that Nvidia is also preparing a new set of drivers that will be released in the following days.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any release notes for these drivers but we can definitely expect better texture pop-in handling. Oh, and some proper SLI/Crossfire profiles would be a nice welcome.
Be also sure to update to the latest Catalyst drivers to avoid any incompatibility issues – in case you are an AMD owner.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
