Ragnarok Game has announced that it has acquired the source code for Rune 2. Rune 2 came out in November 2019 and Human Head Studios closed its doors the moment the game got released. Thankfully, though, Ragnarok Game will try to improve it as it’s already working on its first patch.
As the team stated, it has s currently set up a build, test, and staging environment.
“Once we have confirmed that we are able to make a complete build of the current version of RUNE II (.12L), we are going to begin working on a patch to address the top critical issues, bugs, and optimizations that we have seen reported over the last month and a half.”
Rune 2 suffered from major optimization/performance issues as we reported in our PC Performance Analysis. In fact, Rune 2 was among the worst optimized PC games of 2019.
Here is hoping that Ragnarok Game will be able to fix this mess.
Rune 2 is currently available exclusively on Epic Games Store, and will be coming to Steam in 2020.
