Yesterday, we informed you about the release of shadPS4 V0.2.0. And, from the looks of it, this PlayStation 4 emulator can run Red Dead Redemption Remastered with 60fps on a high-end PC. However, there is a catch.
You see, at 60fps, the game is running at double the original speed. I don’t know why it’s happening, but that’s not the way it was meant to be played. Moreover, there are a lot of visual bugs and glitches.
Still, this is incredible news. The fact that the game can run with 60fps is mind-blowing. Not only that but an Intel i7-10700 with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 is more than enough for 60fps. This is shockingly impressive.
Now as we wrote a while ago, Rockstar may soon release a native PC version of RDR Remastered. My guess is that the company will officially reveal the PC version at Gamescom 2024. That’s in a couple of days. As such, shadPS4 will not be necessary for this particular title. It’s a shame but hey, it is what it is.
What’s really interesting here, though, is the progress the emulator is making in emulating both Bloodborne and Dark Souls Remastered. These two games use the same engine. And, in a newer version, shadPS4 can run Dark Souls Remastered at great framerates.

Do note that this newer version of shadPS4 is NOT V0.2.0. This is V0.2.1 (which has not come out yet). In V0.2.0, you’ll get major visual glitches with the main character. You can see these issues in the video below.
At this point, we may soon be able to run Bloodborne on PC. From what we know, Sony does not plan to remaster or release this game on PC. Thus, PC gamers can rely solely on this emulator to play it. And this day may be closer than you think.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
