Red5 Studios, developers of FireFall, have just announced that they will join the fight against SOPA and will be going dark on January 18th. This basically means that FireFall’s website will be down and the beta will not take place. The developers have also asked their fans to take this time to write their congressman and senator to let them know how they feel about SOPA and PIPA.
As FadedPez, Community Coordinator of FireFall, wrote at the game’s official forum:
“If you are voting in the US (or are referring US voters) please send them here: https://action.eff.org/o/9042/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=8173If you’re not a US-citizen, but want to make YOUR voice directly heard, please go here: http://americancensorship.org/modal/state-dept-petition/index.html
You can also use Popvox to send a message to your Congressperson on your behalf:
The fight against SOPA is sparking up. Earlier yesterday, we stated that we will be also going dark on January 18th. And we are delighted to here that Destructoid will also black-out on January 18th. Way to go guys!
