Back in March 2019, we informed you about the possibility of CD Projekt RED revealing Cyberpunk 2077’s release date at E3 2019. CD Projekt RED claimed back then at E3 2019 will be really important to it, and it appears that we were right.
NeoGAF’s member ‘Braldryr’, who has also revealed that Gears 5 will come out in September 2019, claimed that during Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference, CD Projekt RED will give a progress update on the game’s development, will release a new gameplay trailer, and will reveal the game’s targeted release date.
As you’d expected, a targeted release date is a bit vague but it will at least give gamers an idea of when they can expect to play this highly anticipated role-playing title. Our guess is that CD Projekt RED will target a 2020 release on current-gen platforms.
This report falls in line with what we were expecting to happen, so we are not really surprised by it. Still, it feels could being proven right… right?
There were some earlier rumours suggesting a 2019 release date for Cyberpunk 2077, however we are pretty sure that this game targets a 2020 release. At this point, and given the radio silence, a 2019 seems unlikely.
Stay tuned for more!
