Capcom has announced some new sales figures for its latest games. According to the Japanese company, Resident Evil 2 Remake has sold over 6.5 million copies, whereas Resident Evil 3 Remake has sold 2.5 million copies.
Furthermore, Monster Hunter World is still Capcom’s best selling game. The base game has sold over 15.5 million copies on all platforms. On the other hand, its expansion, Iceborne, has sold 5 million copies.
In other news, Capcom has also announced that it’s working on multiple major new titles. As the press release reads, Capcom plans to release 13 new SKUs. However, this does not mean that there are 13 games under development.
An SKU is basically a version of a game on a particular platform. For instance, Resident Evil 3 Remake came out on PC, Xbox One and PS4. This means that there were three SKUs. Now, since next-gen consoles will be out soon, we can safely assume that a Capcom game will be cross-gen (and that most likely is Resident Evil 8). This means that Resident Evil 8 will have five SKUs (PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X and PS5). In short, you should keep your expectations in check.
Nevertheless, it’s good witnessing Capcom’s games selling well. So, Dino Crisis Remake anyone?

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
