Capcom has released a patch for the PC demo of Resident Evil 7. According to the release notes, this patch adds support for CPUs without SSE4.1 (AMD Phenom and Intel Core2 series) and improves HBAO+ performance.
In addition, this patch fixes an issue that caused the screen size to change when switching from full screen to windowed mode.
