Phil Spencer announced that Resident Evil 7 will be a “Xbox Play Anywhere” game. This basically means that those who purchase the Xbox One version will have access to the PC version, and that those PC gamers who decide to purchase the game via the Windows Store will get access to the Xbox One version.

The Windows 10 version of Resident Evil 7 will support cross-saves between Windows 10 and Xbox One, and will let players access DLC, Gamerscore, and Achievements on both Windows 10 and the Xbox One.
Do note that Resident Evil 7 will be released on both Steam and the Windows Store. The Steam version will not be a “Xbox Play Anywhere” title, and will not support cross-saves.
Resident Evil 7 releases on January 24th!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
