As you may have already heard, the PC version of Resident Evil Revelations 2 lacks local/offline co-op support. And it only took one day for modder – and NeoGAF’s member – “Sectus” to bring it back to the game. Yeap, thanks to the modding community, Resident Evil Revelations 2 PC now supports local/offline co-op. All heil modders.
Those interested can download this mod from here.
In order to enable it, you’ll have to change current game to Revelations 2 in the menu, launch Revelations 2, and then turn on local coop (have to activate trainer first), and then choose a chapter in the game or restart checkpoint. Do note that you will also need Fluffy Manager (a mod manager and trainer for various RE games) in order to enable it.
As Sectus noted, his mod is far from perfect and comes with some bugs that may never be fixed:
– Keyboard controls affect both players (I doubt I can fix this).
– Raid mode local coop doesn’t work (hopefully I can get that working).
– If you turn coop on/off while you’re switching between Claire/Moira in singleplayer mode, the game might get really confused. Toggling coop on and off works best while the game is paused.
Still, it’s better than nothing, right?
Enjoy!
