Some lucky gamers – who have already purchased SOCOM 4 – are enjoying Resistance 3’s beta as we speak. In case you aren’t one of them, get ready to enter the fight next month. Insomniac Games has confirmed at ComicCon that the game’s Open Multiplayer Beta will begin on August.
Resistance 3 returns with a fully loaded arsenal of innovative weapons and promises to feature smarter and more agile Chimeran enemies, two-player online and local/split-screen co-op gameplay, a new, more focused, progression-based multiplayer experience and support for both the PlayStation Move and Stereoscopic 3D.
The game is currently slated for a September 6th release on PS3.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
