The PC version of Returnal was one of the worst-kept secrets. And today, at the TGA 2022 event, Sony revealed that the game will be coming to our platform in early 2023. In addition, the publisher shared the first PC gameplay trailer that you can find below.
From what we know so far, the PC version of Returnal will have Ray Tracing effects, as well as support for NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR.
Returnal uses Unreal Engine 4 so it will be interesting to see whether it will suffer from any shader compilation stutters. The latest UE4 game, The Callisto Protocol, had major shader compilation stutters at launch. However, and in a matter of days, Striking Distance Studios resolved all of them.
Enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!
