Man, what a day today. Ubisoft, Travian Games and KOEI Tecmo have released today Far Cry 5, Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues and Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings, respectively.
Shroud of the Avatar is the spiritual successor to Garriott’s wildly successful Ultima and Ultima Online games, and combines a persistent online world with a deep story and rich role-playing character development.
As an online fantasy multiplayer RPG, Shroud of the Avatar blends together many of the key features that made the Ultima-series popular, including wide-reaching freedom to explore a living, breathing fantasy world enriched by a player-driven crafting and economic system; the ability to create a classless avatar allowing for distinct play styles and uniquely specialized builds; an engaging storyline written in collaboration with celebrated fantasy author Tracy Hickman (Dragonlance) where players are confronted with ethical choices based on Virtues and Principles; and a unique shared online experience where players can opt to play solo or with friends. Players can also complete the story and explore the world offline, in a stand-alone single-player mode that does not require internet access.
Far Cry 5 does not really need any introduction. Set in America, a first for the franchise, Far Cry 5 offers players total freedom to navigate a serene-looking yet deeply twisted world as the new junior deputy of fictional Hope County, Montana. Players will find that their arrival accelerates a years-long silent coup by a fanatical doomsday cult, the Project at Eden’s Gate, igniting a violent takeover of the county. Under siege and cut off from the rest of the world, players will join forces with residents of Hope County and form the Resistance.
Last but not least, Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings is the final instalment in the Atelier Mysterious Trilogy. In this game, players are able to synthesize items while in battle for immediate use through Battle Mix and Extra Mix, with each opening up a range of new strategic options. Battle Mix focuses on crafting special Battle Recipes that enhance weaponry or cause a drastic change to the battlefield conditions to give the players a tactical advantage. Extra Mix utilizes pre-synthesized items and allows the player to add new characteristics in ways which were previously impossible. Extra Mix allows for the creation of the Enormous Bomb, which has a wider explosive radius and deals a much heavier blow then a normal bomb. Alchemy is your friend, so experimenting with various ingredients can lead to unique outcomes, with plenty of different items to match each player’s gameplay style.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
