In September 2022, KOEI Tecmo revealed a new game from Team Ninja, called Rise of the Ronin. And, according to a new leak, this will be a mix of Assassin’s Creed, Ghost of Tsushima and Dark Souls.
The game promises to feature numerous side-quests that are more like Ubisoft side-quest designs. Additionally, players can expect difficulty modes, as well as skill and technique trees. In other words, this game will be more friendly to newcomers than previous Team Ninja titles. And finally, there will be romance options.
Alongside these new details, we also got some menu screenshots. Do note that these leaked screenshots do not reveal much. However, the game’s map does look like something you’d find in a Ubisoft game. Seriously, look at all those icons.
In Rise of the Ronin, players will explore an evolving world as they fight to forge a new era for Japan. Players will assume the role of a Ronin; a warrior free from all masters and bonds.
According to the leak, KOEI Tecmo will release Rise of the Ronin in Q1 2024. From what we know so far, the game will release on both PS5 and PC. However, we don’t know whether it will come out simultaneously on both platforms, or whether it will be timed-exclusive on PS5.
Stay tuned for more!
