I’m shocked. No, this is not an April fools joke (I double checked to see if it was April, believe me). Robert Bowling, the Creative Strategist of Call of Duty, has just resign from his position as lead of Infinity Ward, and as an employee of Activision. This is a sad day and unfortunately, we do not know the reasons for Bowling’s resignation.
As Bowling tweeted a couple of minutes ago:
“Today, I resign from my position as Creative Strategist of Call of Duty, as a lead of Infinity Ward, and as an employee of Activision.”
We’ve contacted Bowling and hopefully we’ll know more at a later date. We can also assume that Activision will announce tomorrow Bowling’s resignation and the reasons behind it. Hopefully.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
