Crowbar Collective, the devs behind the amazing remake of Half-Life, Black Mesa, has announced its new game. This new game is called Rogue Point, and it will be a co-op tactical roguelite first-person shooter.
In this game, players will team up with friends and build an elite tactical team. Players will plan and execute challenging missions in a dynamic rogue-Lite structure with hundreds of ways to play. Or at least that’s what the devs claim.
Rogue Point will have 20+ weapons with multiple skins. You can also expect 40+ tactical Items and attachments for your arsenal. Moreover, there will be over 60 cosmetic items, with multiple skins. Plus, you can expect 24 missions across 4 locations.
Team17 will release Rogue Point in 2025 in Early Access. The game will remain in EA for a year (or even more). The Early Access build aims to offer a polished core game that is fun from start to finish, with rewarding milestones for players to achieve.
To be honest, I’m a bit disappointed by Rogue Point. Since Black Mesa was a single-player game, I was expecting something similar from Crowbar Collective. Instead, the devs will throw away everything they’ve accomplished and learned for an MP title.
Anyway, below you can find a gameplay trailer for Rogue Point. And, as you will see, it looks really rough. The gunplay mechanics could have been better. So yeah, I can’t say I’m impressed by what I see in it.
Enjoy!
