Split/Second was one hell of an arcade racing game but it wasn’t enough to save Black Rock Studios that was behind its wheel. According to Eurogamer, Disney will indeed close the studio, as they didn’t greenlit Black Rock Studios’ latest project. And as a result of that, Roundcube Entertainment was formed and is led by Split/Second director Nick Baynes and Ian Monaghan.
From what we know so far, Nick Baynes will head up Roundcube Entertainment, while Ian Monaghan will be the company’s Development Director.
No games or future projects have been announced as of yet.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
