While Battlefield 6 is not coming out anytime soon, it appears that it will be set in modern-day. This will definitely put a smile on most BF fans’ face, as this is something they’ve wanted since Battlefield 4.
Tom Henderson, who has previously leaked Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, claimed that the game will be set in modern-day. Then, Venturebeat’s Jeff Grubb tweeted that this information was legit.

From what we know so far, Battlefield 6 will be coming out in 2021 and will be available only on next-gen systems. Naturally, this new BF game will be using the latest version of the Frostbite Engine. Thus, let’s hope that it will showcase what the Frostbite Engine can achieve on next-gen hardware.
Unfortunately, there is nothing more to add at this point. Electronic Arts will hold its EA Play 2020 event next week, however, I don’t expect the publisher to showcase this new BF game. We might get a small teaser, however, don’t expect anything mind-blowing.
Stay tuned for more!
