Microsoft has issued a new boxart for Halo 5: Guardians, hinting at a possible PC release. Of course this isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumours of a PC version, however this hint comes straight from Microsoft.
Microsoft’s Amazon page for Halo 5: Guardians has a “Xbox One Console Exclusive” banner; a banner that is used for when a game releases on the Xbox One and PC platforms. However, its older banner was quite different. As we can see below (first image), the older banner stated that the game was “Only On Xbox One.”
And in case you’re wondering, Quantum Break, a game that came out on both Xbox One and PC has the same “Xbox One Console Exclusive” banner.
Now I’m not pretty sure why Microsoft decided to change the banner, however this reminded me the supposedly error that appeared on the Xbox website. Back in June, the official Xbox website listed Windows 10 alongside Xbox One for Halo 5. Frank O’Connel, development director of Halo, then stated that this was an error but what about this new boxart?
Microsoft has not stated anything official yet about a PC version of Halo 5, which is why I’m marking this story as a rumour!
Kudos to our reader “Inhuman0” for bringing this to our attention!
