Jagex Games Studio announced today their plans for Runefest 2011. Runefest 2011 is the second real-world RuneFest celebration and is dedicated to Runescape’s 10th anniversary. According to the press release, RuneFest 2011 is set to be even bigger, better and longer than last year’s inaugural event.
RuneFest 2011 will take place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October. A weekend ticket will cost you £99, while a day ticket will cost you £59. There will be also VIP Tickets, which are priced at £179. Those wishing to attend Runefest 2011 will be able to purchase the tickets from Monday 27th, June 2011.
Mark Gerhard, CEO of Jagex said:
“Last year’s RuneFest was such an incredible experience that we simply had to make RuneFest an annual event. The loyal RuneScape community who attended really helped to make the event a huge success. For RuneFest 2011 we are planning to do everything on a grander scale, make everything bigger and even more action-packed. Last year’s event really demonstrated what a passionate community we have. With that in mind we have hunted down a larger venue for this year so that even more players will be able to attend! Tickets will sell out fast so my advice to those wanting to attend – get your tickets as soon as they go on sale and join us for a party you will never forget.”

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
