GSC GameWorld claimed that it will talk about platforms and digital stores for STALKER 2 at a later date. So yeah, it remains a mystery whether this will be an Epic Games Store exclusive or not.
From what we know so far, the main inspiration for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is the original trilogy (Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat) and its main feature will be its unique atmosphere. The developers aim to make a really atmospheric game, similar to what the original STALKER was when it came out.
The game will not feature any Battle Royale game. Furthermore, the team will be working on making modding tools so that modders can start creating new content when the game comes out.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
