A team of modders, called dez0wave, have released a new version of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Lost Alpha Director’s Cut mod. In case you weren’t aware of, Lost Alpha is a mod that aims to bring back to life the old design and atmosphere of the STALKER build that was shown back in 2002.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Lost Alpha features new levels and enemies, overhauls the game’s visuals, and packs numerous gameplay improvements and enhancements. Version 1.4007 features a lot of mods, both polished versions of the old ones, and brand new mods, like the beautiful Extended Weather.
What’s also new, is that Lost Alpha has a new launcher, which will greatly improve the experience of managing the game and the mods. Furthermore, the team has added new shaders, and a new map based on an old GSC concept of “Level 12”.
Those interested can download the mod from here.
Have fun and good luck stalkers!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
