Call us impressed but Volition has just announced that they are working on a patch for the PC version of Saints Row: The Third. Even though the company hasn’t released any changelog or an ETA, we do know that this patch will feature further optimization and better performance. Sounds great, right? You bet as Red Faction: Armageddon was not supported at all by the very same studio after its initial release. Hell, there isn’t even any SLI profile for it as of yet. So kudos to Volition for properly supporting their latest game.
In addition, Volition is still working with ATI in order to resolve the low performance issues that is present with the red team’s cards. According to the company’s community manager, the CAP file was the first step in this, and hopefully they’ll have more information to share in the coming days.
In other news, be sure to use the FOV fix that was created by Steam’s user, Maxwell_Adams. This is a must-have mod for everyone that plays Volition’s game, so go ahead and grab it.
UPDATE:
A patch has just been released that offers better performance optimization for High reflections in DirectX 10 & 11 Build. This patch will be auto-downloaded the next time you start the Steam client.
