Microsoft and Rare announced that since Sea of Thieves’ launch back in March 2018, over 20 million players have begun to chart their own tales of high seas adventure.
“To thank players for their support on the occasion of our third anniversary, we’ve got a chest full of goodies and bonuses. Our final update to Season One goes live today, March 18, bringing the mystical Sea of Sands collection to the Pirate Emporium, along with the Gold Curse Macaw and Alsatian and much more, including a free ROFL Emote! Players who also log in between March 18 and March 25 will receive this year’s anniversary gift: the Prosperous Captain’s Sails.”
Sea of Thieves’ March 18th Update brings a number of fixes. For instance, Emissary Flags should no longer float away if hit by a moving ship. Additionally, crew status nameplates should accurately show when a player is taking damage from other players or skeletons.
This patch also packs further improvements to server performance that reduce latency during gameplay.
