Might and Delight announced today that its indie adventure game, in which players take the role of a Lynx, will miss its August release and will now target a Fall 2014 release. According to the team, the game has been delayed because it is currently struggling to further optimize its open-world environment, as well as its AI and gameplay mechanics.
“With the large world and a lot of objects the optimization is really becoming something we need to work on. We are also focusing on making sure that all the features run smoothly and without hiccups. Pathfinding is sometimes problematic as animals sometimes forget to run away from you as you hunt them, or decide to just run towards you and get eaten.”
As a result of these aforementioned issues, the game will miss its previously planned August release and while there is no specific ETA as of yet, the team targets a Fall 2014 release.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
