Deep Silver and Ys Net have announced that the trial version for Shenmue 3 will release in the second half of September. This trail version will be made available to all Kickstarter and Slacker backers. In other words, this isn’t a free demo of Shenmue 3.
The trial version will feature a stand-alone act with objective that takes place in Bailu Village. The game will be playable for an estimated 1 hours, and will be replayable after the objective has been cleared. There will be lots of activities to experience until the trial expires.
Do note, however, that saves will not transfer over to the final version. As such, you’ll have to replay the same act when the game releases this November.
Since the game is coming exclusively on Epic Games Store, the trial version will also require Epic’s store. Still, it will at least let you play the game before anyone else.
Ys Net will announce a specific date for Shenmue 3’s trail version at a later date, so stay tuned for more!
