Now here is a surprise. At Sony’s State of Play 2024, Konami revealed that Silent Hill 2 Remake will be released on October 8th. Moreover, the company shared a new trailer that you can find below.
Now the reason I’m surprised is because I was expecting Konami to keep that announcement for its Silent Hill Transmission event. Well, guess it couldn’t wait an hour for that.
This new trailer features both in-engine cinematics and some gameplay sequences. So, it will give you an idea of what the remake looks like.
Silent Hill 2 Remake will be using Unreal Engine 5. In October 2022, Bloober Team also shared its initial PC system requirements. According to them, an NVIDIA RTX2080 would be able to run it at 1080p/High/30fps. Now we all know how demanding Unreal Engine 5 can be. So, it will be interesting to see whether the devs will revise those PC requirements once the game becomes available for pre-order.
And… well… that’s it. Konami hasn’t shared any additional tech details about it.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!
