Konami released seven new screenshots for Silent Hill: Downpour. The game looks great, although there is a blur filter that hides most of the low-res textures that have been used. The problem however with Silent Hill’s previous part wasn’t its graphics but various gameplay and control mechanics that were full of bugs. Let’s hope that Konami will fix most of them this time around. Silent Hill: Downpour is slated for a Q4 release on X360 and PS3.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
