Modder ‘SparrowPrince’ has released a new mod for Skyrim that aims to enhance the blurry and ugly distant textures of it. According to its description, this mod basically takes 3060 LOD textures (it was as boring as it sounds to make) and applies the smallest amount of noise the modder could to them without making the landscape look too dark.
Those interested can download it from here.
In order to install it, you’ll have to follow this guide:
1. Extract the contents of the folder “Textures” into your Skyrim / Data folder
(usually located at Program Files (x86) / Steam / SteamApps / common / skyrim / data)
2. Play the game
Enjoy a comparison gif between this mod and the vanilla version. We strongly suggest using Enhanced Distant Terrain 2 with EDT’s Grass Noise.
Enjoy!
