Even though City Interactive has not revealed the latest sales numbers of Sniper: Ghost Warrior, GameStop revealed that City Interactive’s first sniper title has managed to sell over 3 million copies worldwide. Naturally, this cannot come close to the sales of other triple-A, however we have to keep in mind that City Interactive was never a company as ‘powerful’ as EA or Ubisoft. In other words, it’s a pretty impressive number for a new IP.
This is revealed in the ‘product details’ section of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 at GameStop, and was spotted by NeoGAF member ‘Nirolak’.
As the game’s description reads:
“Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 takes the bulls-eye precision of its 3 million plus best-selling predecessor to new and exciting heights. It is the only multi-platform FPS modern shooter exclusively designed around the sniper experience and built using the most advanced game engine in CryENGINE3.”
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is scheduled for a March 12th release on PC, X360 and PS3!
