SNK has released, for the first time, the 2003 arcade version of its fighting game, SNK VS. CAPCOM SVC CHAOS, on PC. To celebrate this release, the team shared the game’s official PC requirements, as well as a trailer for it.
SNK VS. CAPCOM SVC CHAOS features 36 characters from SNK and CAPCOM. Players can expect characters such as Kyo Kusanagi, Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, Mai Shiranui and more.
Developer Code Mystics has added rollback netcode and online lobbies (for up to nine players). Moreover, you will find a new hitbox viewer which offers a detailed look at each character’s collision areas. There’s also a comprehensive gallery mode of 89 artworks.
To run the game, PC gamers will at least need a dual-core GPU with Hyper-Threading, 2GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD RX 480. The game will only require 270MB of free disk space. SNK recommends using a quad-core CPU with 2GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070.
SNK VS. CAPCOM SVC CHAOS is a 2D game, so it will run on a wide range of PC configurations. It also comes at a somewhat reasonable price ($19,99). Yes, this is a really old fighting game. However, it’s at least below $30.
Finally, I don’t know whether or not there is support for crossplay. The Steam store page does not hint at anything like that, so that’s a bummer. PC gamers will have to rely on other PC gamers, and – most likely – they won’t be able to play with their console friends.
Enjoy!
