Runmeng is currently working on a Souls-like dark martial arts action game infused with traditional Chinese culture, Echoes of Yi: Samsara. This new action game will come out on April 18, and below you can find its official PC requirements.
In Echoes of Yi: Samsara, players take on the role of the Sword Saint’s first disciple. Players will embark on an adventure to defeat powerful enemies and prevent a global disaster. The game promises to have a fast-paced combat system, and players will have to precisely master the rhythm of offense and defense to experience a highly challenging battle system.
Through rapid transitions between offense and defense, and precise counterattacks, players can build up the enemy’s momentum bar, causing their defenses to collapse. Once an opportunity is seized, players can unleash deadly attacks, experiencing a high-intensity battle that seamlessly integrates offense and defense.
So, basically, think of this game as a mix between Dark Souls and Sekiro. Players will also be able to learn skills to authentically experience the styles and techniques of Chinese martial arts.
To run Echoes of Yi: Samsara, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i3-2100 or AMD FX-6300 with 8GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. The game will also require 30GB of free disk space.
The devs recommend using an Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD Ryzen 5 1400 with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2060.
So, as you can see, you won’t need a powerful PC system to run it. This is definitely good news. From what I’ve found, it will be using Unreal Engine 5 (or perhaps 4). We’ll know for sure when we get our hands on it. Plus, it will support both DX11 and DX12. And, if it is using UE5, I don’t really believe it will take advantage of Lumen or Nanite.
Do note that Echoes of Yi: Samsara won’t be a graphical showcase like Black Myth: Wukong. Runmeng is a small team and has already warned players not to expect a game that will look as good as Black Myth: Wukong or Phantom Blade.
