It appears that a new Splinter Cell game may soon be revealed. A new product for ‘Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 2018’ appeared on Amazon. The interesting thing here, however, is that this product is from Ubisoft itself, so this may very well be an unintentional leak.
This obviously shouldn’t surprise us as Ubisoft has already stated that it has not forgotten the Splinter Cell series. Back in June 2017, Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot told Geoff Keighley that Ubisoft has not forgotten Sam Fisher.
“I can’t say much about that. For sure, all the Clancy games are taken care of. It’s just that we have a lot on our plate at the moment and The Division continues to be played and Rainbow Six too. I think yesterday was even one of the highest numbers of players playing…So all the Clancy games are coming along. We are not forgetting Splinter Cell.”
According to its description, this new Splinter Cell game will be revealed at E3 2018 and will be coming to the PC (it won’t be a PC exclusive, it will also come out to current-gen consoles).
As always, take everything you’ve just read with a grain of salt. Ubisoft has not announced anything official yet, therefore it would be wise to wait until the French company officially unveils a new part in the Splinter Cell series.
