There is literally nothing stopping this train. Star Citizen’s crowdfunding campaign has raised more than $250 million. According to the official stats, there are currently 2,448,501 Star Citizens who has raised 250,898,711 funds.
At this point, there aren’t any new stretch goals to meet. To be more precise, all of Star Citizen’s stretch goals were met the moment its crowdfunding campaign hit its $65 million milestone.
As we’ve already reported, PC gamers can try Star Citizen for free until December 5th. This free week will give players a chance to fly every single ship in Star Citizen. Furthermore, this free trials will provide more than 100 options to choose from.
From what we know so far, Star Citizen’s single-player campaign will come out sooner than its multiplayer mode. Squadron 42 currently targets a Q3 2020.
But anyway, it will be interesting to see the total funds that Star Citizen will be able to raise. This is undoubtedly the most successful crowdfunding campaign so let’s hope that Cloud Imperium will be able to deliver on its promises!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
