Atari announced today the release of Star Raiders’s remake. This remake promises to combine tense aerial assaults and dogfights with a new compelling storyline, striking visual style and exhilarating single player gameplay. The game was developed by Incinerator Studios and is now available to the PS3 at £7.19 / €8.99.
Star Raiders will offer familiar battle elements with its predecessor, including space warps and galactic tactical maps with all new features like radical battle transformations and customizable ships.
The original Star Raiders was released in 1979 and inspired several generations of “space combat simulation” titles throughout the 80’s and 90’s.
