DICE has released a brand new update for Star Wars Battlefront 2. According to the team, The Battle on Scarif will be the last major update for this Star Wars game. Therefore, DICE will now focus on servers, in-game challenges, recurring events – such as Double XP – and game support.
The Battle on Scarif will see players return to the tropical battlefront inspired by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Furthermore, DICE is now bringing the Age of Rebellion to Supremacy and Instant Action.
Naturally, this patch also comes with a number of fixes. For instance, it fixes issues that would cause the Play Now function to heavily prioritize Co-Op Missions. It also fixes an issue that would cause UI messaging on defeated players to show up retroactively, once players turn it on after having it turned off first.
In order to celebrate the launch of this update, DICE has released the following trailer.
