Capcom has announced that Street Fighter 5 will be free to play this weekend on the PC. Not only that, but players will be able to also play with all the characters from Season 3, something that will give you an idea of how these new characters play like.

Obviously, this free to play weekend is mainly thanks to the upcoming fighting tournament, EVO 2019. In case you weren’t aware of, EVO 2019 is one of the biggest fighting tournaments. And even though I don’t post a lot of stories based on this tournament, I am a huge fan of it (in other words, I’ll watch both the Street Fighter 5 and Tekken 7).
As Capcom noted, the free to play weekend will begin later today. My guess is that Steam will allow PC gamers to download the free weekend trial for Street Fighter 5 in an hour or so (that’s when Steam usually pushes its daily updates).
Those interested will be able to download Street Fighter 5 from its official Steam store page.
Last but not least, the fighters that gamers will be able to play with are:
- Birdie
- Blanka
- Cammy
- Chun-Li
- Cody
- Dhalsim
- F.A.N.G.
- Falke
- G
- Karin
- Ken
- Laura
- M. Bison
- Nash
- Necalli
- R. Mika
- Rashid
- Ryu
- Sagat
- Sakura
- Vega
- Zangief
