Outriders is cooperative third-person shooter set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe. The game is being developed by People Can Fly and published by Square Enix. These are not the same developers who made Painkiller and Bulletstorm. Those people have formed a new studio, The Astronauts, who are working on Witchfire.
The game will feature a character creation, in order for the player to create his own unique character. The game will not feature any microtransactions according to the director Bartek Kmita. This is not an open-world game, but it will feature several hubs for the player to explore.
The cover is not contextual, instead you will have to press a button to get in cover. You can mix and match classes in your party, meaning all players can have the same class if they want. There is a total of four classes available. Legendary is the top tier rarity of loot in the game.
All four studios of People Can Fly are working on Outriders. There will be no PVP mode in the game and missions are repeatable. You can have multiple characters but you cannot change the class of the character once you choose. You will have to play the prologue by yourself, which is about an hour. After that you are free to play with whoever you want.

You can also watch some gameplay from Angry Joe below.
Outriders will be available later this year.

Chris was born in the early 80’s along with the very birth of home gaming. After spending many maaany drachmas on arcades, his father decided to buy him a PC instead of going bankrupt. He lived through the advancing and development of the gaming industry, having played TONS of games on all platforms. He is always honest and will never hesitate to give his true opinion on a game no matter what. Loves stealth games and dislikes microtsansactions, DLC and pre-ordering…who doesn’t after all?!
