Ah, remember Ed Boon’s attitude towards PC gamers? You know, his usual trolling when it came to Mortal Kombat 9 PC? Well, it seems that the founder of NetherRealm Studios was quite surprised with how PC gamers embraced his fighting game, claiming that the sales of the PC version are way above both Warner Bros’ and NetherRealm Studios’ expectations.
A couple of days ago, Ed Boon shared an Amazon link that had a special offer for Mortal Kombat PC. Naturally, a fan decided to ask Ed Boon whether MK9 PC was – more or less – successful. The fan asked Boon for a comment about the – so far – sales of MK9 PC, to which Boon replied, claiming that they are way, way above expectations.
Good news then for PC gamers, as we can now expect to see the next MK game hitting our platform sooner than later. Well, that’s at least our guess based on Boon’s comments. It will be also interesting to see whether NetherRealm Studios will port Injustice on the PC. But then again, we already got a hint about itsĀ PC GOTY Edition, didn’t we?
In related news, we are expecting to hear more official news about King of Fighter XIII PC in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2.
